Everyone knows that no two are exactly the same, but did you know these other characteristics of fingerprints? Like each of us, our fingerprints encounter different stages of life. While the core patterns of ridges remain constant, the clarity, definition, and individuality change over time. From the compact, not yet fully developed prints of an infant to the faint ridges of the elderly, our fingerprints reflect our own life’s journey.

THREE TYPES OF PRINTS

The three main types of fingerprint patterns are Loops, Whorls, and Arches. Loops are the most common, while Arches are seen very rarely. Each fingerprint type has a personality. For centuries, it has been believed that you can tell a lot about a person by their fingerprint pattern. For example:
